I recently had the pleasure of being a guest on the Liberated Leadership podcast hosted by Steve Cuss, also a gaming industry veteran. In this thoughtful and wide-ranging conversation, we explored my journey from the video game industry into leadership and coaching, and the unique challenges (and strengths) that come with being a quiet or introverted leader.

In Episode 5, we talked about:

  • My unconventional entry into the gaming industry

  • The shift from management to leadership

  • Why authenticity, presence, and trust are so essential - especially for quiet leaders

  • How self-awareness and feedback help us grow as leaders

  • The Quiet Leadership approach I now use in my coaching practice

We also touched on familiar patterns like the Selfless Carer - a leadership trap many of us fall into when we’re focused on serving others but forget to manage ourselves first.

(How much of a Selfless carer are you? Take the Quiet Quiz to find out)

Steve’s Liberated Leadership model and my Quiet Leadership approach share some beautiful overlaps, particularly around authenticity as a service and the power of inner clarity.

If any of that resonates with you, I’d love for you to watch the full episode here:

Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the conversation!
